Here's the thing. These days, people are exposed to more surveys than ever before. Unfortunately this means that many people won't want to take your survey, especially if it is long with too many questions and wording that isn't clear.
We have created Tandem Surveys with this in mind. We provide the most common question types, and encourage simplicity and clarity. Our survey design is simple and not too cluttered, and all surveys can be easily taken on any device, including a small screen mobile phone. This is really important.
Our survey creator tool is deliberately simple so that you won't try to create surveys that are overly complicated and difficult to answer. Make sure you create a layout for your survey across just one page if it is just a few questions, or create a different page for different topics to ensure those who are answering are clear about what they are answering. Our best survey tip is to send yourself the survey and do it five times on a mobile phone, which will tell you everything you need to know about your survey. If you don't want to answer it, nobody else will either.
Here are a few mmore important tips to ensure you can launch your surveys quickly and easily...
- You should add at least one recipient (yourself) to the list of recipients, which will allow you to properly test your survey before launch.
- Remember to update ALL options in the Settings tab of your survey, including a welcome message, email invitation template (if required), and reminder template (if you are reminding recipients who have been sent a survey but haven't yet completed).
- If you are adding 'scale' questions, remember to keep the negative option as the lowest number, and the postiive option as the highest number (e.g. 1= Strongly Disagree, 5 = Strongly Agree).
- Remember to add any relevant tags (although you can also do this after if required).
- Remember to test your survey before you launch it, ensuring it make sense and there are no spelling mistakes.
